She was never given the resources to succeed in taking on the business, so she had to just watch by and see someone else be in the role she could’ve been in. She also was literally forced into a marriage-that she didn’t want-and was forced out of her family business because of it. I think if she was given the resources to succeed she would have tried her best and went for it, but she was constantly put down and told that she couldn’t and I think this shows because when she’s finally getting the chance to learn now, she’s trying her best and somewhat excelling.Īlso, if I’m being honest I would cheat on her husband too if I was her. It convinced herself she couldn’t take matters in her own hands even if she tried. After being exposed to that for so long, it clearly has great mental effect on her.
It was literally explained that the people around her put her down for any potential she might have. No because I can totally understand where Serena is coming from.
